CIEMS - The Center for International Emergency Medical Services

Rwandan Emergency Services

The Center is proud to be working in close partnerships with members of the Rwandan government and medical communities to coordinate a research and development project in Rwanda. The founding members of CIEMS have begun to work toward a transformation of the existing emergency services model into one that effectively uses the extensive personnel and infrastructure resources that are available in the country. Further, we are developing an open source curriculum development model that will allow stakeholders in Rwanda and experts here to collaborate on the design and dissemination of new Emergency Medical Technician and First Responder curricula that are informed by best practices in the field and carefully crafted to fit the needs and resources of Rwanda.
